Class- 8.29.17     Today in class we clarified who completed and did not complete last nights homework. During this time we established the proper way to send the link to our blog. Due to confusion some completed the assignment, yet missed a small step in the emailing process. This is understandable because new methods are sometimes befuddling, as well as electronically lagging. After we finished clearing up any confusion concerning our blog, we moved on to discuss the syllabus for our class. Some important necessities for the classroom is being able to hear and consider other people's beliefs and opinions. This is important because if you don't listen to their points you'll never understand. Also, you will miss an opportunity to learn, and perhaps consider a new way of looking at that certain subject. The Future (ft. Holly's amazing comment)

        Today in human geography we watched a ted talk about how much the world has developed throughout the years. It truly is amazing how much our world has changed. I also didn't realize that all this development actually wasn't too long ago. I learned that usually if you're poor, or in a poverty-stricken country, you tend to die sooner, due to the lack of resources. Yet, if you're healthier that usually means you're rich because you have the food, healthcare, etc... Today we learned all this from a man named Hans Rosling, he teaches global health. In 1810 the majority of people didn't live past forty!! In addition I found it surprising that the flu was deadly in old times. This was due to the lack of advancement in medicine. Countries truly became richer, healthier, and more developed after the Industrial Revolution. This occurred sooner for Europeans and Americans, while Africans and Asians took longer. A message to garcia and a five point action plan

In A Message to Garcia a war between Spain and The United States arose and it was imperative to contact the leader of the insurgents. Yet, Garcia was incapable of receiving any telegraphs or mail. Thankfully, someone proclaimed that a young, devoted man, named Rowan could take on the responsibility if no one else is willing to. And he did. After, a challenging, and long journey, and three weeks of searching through the jungle, Rowan had successfully delivered the message. But, did you notice that when this extremely difficult challenge was designated to him, he willingly saw it through and asked absolutely no questions. This speaks to levels of commitment, diligence, and courage in his character.
