Class- 9.28.17
Today in class we started with Mr. Schick assisting a student because thy had blog problems. We then continued on to review what we learned yesterday. Then we learned about sites and when people are settling the are influenced by the land, climate, and other things. Man has the ability to change sites. For example, NYC has been made two times bigger, land wise. They used sunken ships and landfill to build onto the land and make more money. Although, in some places, such as Houston, man should nit change too much. This is because if we take out all the farmland, which absorbs the rain, and fill it with cement and houses, we will have nowhere for the rain to go. This occurred in Houston because the water overflowed in the nearby water source that the water was suppose to flood, thus it had nowhere to drain because kA the farmland was destroyed. It's good for man to change some of site, but if gets out of control it's a problem.
